Last season as a senior at Vanderbilt, Lawrence played in 28 games, starting each time, and averaged 13.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.4 steals per game.
Tyrin Lawrence is the sixth player to commit to Mike White and the Bulldogs this spring. The Bulldogs have signed former Kentucky commitment Somto Cyril, as well as RJ Godfrey from Clemson, transfer teammates De’Shayne Montgomery and Dakota Leffew from Mount St. Mary’s, and Justin Abson from Appalachian State.
Georgia also inked consensus five-star power forward Asa Newell last fall.
The Bulldogs still have four spots to fill for the 2024-25 season following the departures of Justin Hill, RJ Melendez, Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe, Mari Jordan, Jabri Abdur-Rahim, and Jalen DeLoach.
