Last season as a sophomore at Appalachian State, Abson played in all 34 games and started 33 times. He averaged 7.9 points and 7.1 rebounds, while also recording 2.8 blocks per game, which ranked him third in the country.
Justin Abson is the second player to commit to Mike White and the Bulldogs out of the transfer portal this spring. Last week, the Bulldogs picked up a commitment from De’Shayne Montgomery from Mount St. Mary’s.
The Bulldogs still have five spots to fill for the 2024-25 season following the departures of Justin Hill, RJ Melendez, Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe, Mari Jordan, Jabri Abdur-Rahim, and Jalen DeLoach.
