Last season as a freshman at Mount St. Mary’s, Montgomery played in all 32 games and started 10 times. He averaged 12.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.7 steals per game and was named the Metro Athletic Conference (MAAC) Rookie of the Year.
De’Shayne Montgomery is the first player to commit to Mike White and the Bulldogs out of the transfer portal this spring. Montgomery played against the Bulldogs last November in a 94-82 loss at Stegeman Coliseum. He scored 23 points in that contest.
The Bulldogs still have five spots to fill for the 2024-25 season following the departures of Justin Hill, Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe, Mari Jordan, Jabri Abdur-Rahim, and Jalen DeLoach.
