Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game
Georgia vs. Boise State to kickoff at 8:00 p.m. ET on ESPN
The 2011 Chick-fil-A College Kickoff game on September 3 will be televised by ESPN at 8:00 p.m. ET. The game pits the Georgia Bulldogs against the Boise State Broncos.
Both teams are expected to be nationally ranked heading into the game. If that holds true, it will be the fourth consecutive year that both teams in the Chick-fil-A game were ranked.
This will be only the second meeting between Georgia and Boise State. The Dawgs blasted the Broncos 48-13 in 2005 in Athens.
The annual kickoff game is held on the first weekend of the season at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. Tickets are available from TicketNetwork.com.
ESPN’s College Gameday has broadcast from the Chick-fil-A game each of the past three seasons. However, there is another compelling neutral-site matchup the same weekend. LSU will face Oregon at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. That game will be broadcast by ABC at 8:00 p.m. ET.
