Three Bulldogs to compete in 2019 Masters

Three Georgia Bulldogs are set to compete in the 2019 Masters, which is set to begin on Thursday, April 11 at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia.

Practice rounds for the 2019 Masters begin on Monday, April 8 and run through Wednesday, April 10. The annual Par 3 Contest will also be played on Wednesday and it will air on ESPN from 3:00pm to 5:00pm ET.

Bubba Watson heads into the Masters ranked 51st in the FedExCup. His best results this season include ties for fourth in the Valspar Championship and the Waste Management Phoenix Open, along with 15th place in the Genesis Open.

Watson is a two-time Masters champion, winning the Green Jacket in 2012 and 2014. Last year, he finished in a tie for 5th and boosted his career winnings in Augusta to $3,716,455.

Just one week ago, former Bulldog Kevin Kisner claimed a victory in the World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play. He also finished tied for 7th in The RSM Classic and has pocketed a total of $2,403,340 this season.

Kisner, currently 13th in the FedExCup rankings, finished in a tie for 28th in the Masters last year, his best finish in the tournament.

Keith Mitchell earned his first-ever Masters invitation after winning The Honda Classic last month at PGA National Golf Club in Florida. Mitchell is currently 17th in the FedExCup rankings and has earned $1,976,443 this year.
