Georgia beats Georgia Tech 42-34; Dawgs now Bowl Eligible

Aaron Murray threw three touchdown passes to lead the Georgia Bulldogs over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 42-34 in Athens. The win makes the Bulldogs bowl eligible.
Murray finished the game 15-of-19 for 271 yards. His three touchdown passes were to Kris Durham for 66 yards, Orson Charles for 32 yards and Bruce Figgins for 3. Washaun Ealey led the Dawgs on the ground with 118 yards and two touchdowns.
Georgia finished with 425 yards of offense, but turned the ball over twice. They also muffed the opening kickoff.
The Bulldog defense continues to be porous. They allowed the Yellow Jackets to run 92 plays for 512 yards. One of the few bright spots was Justin Houston, who scooped up a fumble and scored and later intercepted a pass to seal the victory.
Georgia will now wait for their bowl invitation. At this point, it looks like the Bulldogs will play in the Liberty Bowl in Memphis against the UCF Knights of Conference USA. Other possible bowl destinations include the Music City Bowl in Nashville and the BBVA Compass Bowl in Birmingham.
