Five Bulldogs named 2023 preseason AP All-Americans

Five Georgia Bulldogs have been named 2023 AP preseason All-Americans, the Associated Press announced on Monday.
Center Sedrick Van Pran and tight end Brock Bowers were each named to the AP First-Team Offense, while linebacker Jamon Dumas-Johnson and safety Malaki Starks were both named to the AP First-Team Defense.
Additionally, safety Javon Bullard was named to the AP Second-Team Defense.
The Big Ten leads all conferences with 12 players on the AP preseason first team and the SEC is second with seven.
Georgia’s five preseason AP All-Americans have also been included on watch lists for the following prestigious college football awards:

The back-to-back national champion Georgia Bulldogs are scheduled to open the 2023 season on Saturday, Sept. 2 against the UT Martin Skyhawks at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga. The game will kickoff at 6:00pm ET and will be a streaming-only event on SEC Network+ and ESPN+.
