Dawgwithbone’s post references a We Are Notre Dame blog post from July 1. The post states that the game was confirmed by Tom Noie of the South Bend Tribune via his Twitter page. Here are Noie’s tweets from June 25th:
The irish will open tournament play Thanksgiving night against Georgia at the Milk House in Orlando.
8:51 AM Jun 25th via webShould the brackets hold true without any upsets, #NotreDame also would play California and Temple.
8:52 AM Jun 25th via webThat means #NotreDame non-league schedule is Georgia, Cal, Temple, Kentucky and Gonzaga. Enough to silence critics? Probably not.

The bracket for the Classic has not been released yet on the tournament’s official website, nor has any matchup been confirmed.
Earlier this month, news broke that the Dawgs will host the Xavier Musketeers at Stegeman in February 2011. Other known non-conference games include Saint Louis, UAB and at Georgia Tech (12/07/2010).
The 2010-11 schedule apparently lacks one game for completion, according to three recent posts by UGA’s Kent Davison on the Basketball Traveler’s message board.

Great schedule.
Looks wonderful.
I would not be saying that Notre Dame is going to be playing California and Temple, however.
It could easily be Kentucky vs Georgia.
You don't get many chances to beat Kentucky. Have to take them when you get them.
Georgia in men's basketball is in FAR BETTER SHAPE than Georgia in football.
Right, apparently he thinks that Notre Dame will beat Georgia without question.
