Sophomore guard Zac Swansey hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift the Bulldogs to a 74-73 win over the visiting Wofford Terriers. Swansey finished with 11 points for the Dawgs who are now 7-3 on the season. Trey Thompkins led Georgia with 15 points.
Swansey saved the Bulldogs from another embarrassing loss. Wofford (4-4) lost to Clemson by 53 earlier in the season. The heroics by Zac were reminiscent of the 2008 SEC Tournament when he hit a last second 3-pointer to upset the favored Kentucky Wildcats. Georgia went on to claim the SEC Tournament title.
The Bulldogs host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Monday night and North Carolina A&T on Sunday afternoon.
