Allen, Miller named to 2025 Lombardi Award Midseason Watch List

Georgia football linebacker CJ Allen and defensive tackle Christen Miller have each been named to the 2025 Rotary Lombardi Award Midseason Watch List, The Lombardi Award and Rotary Club of Houston has announced.

The Rotary Lombardi Award is a coveted award given annually to the college football offensive or defensive lineman “…who exemplifies the character and discipline of NFL Hall of Fame Head Coach Vince Lombardi in addition to outstanding performance and ability.”

To be considered for the Lombardi Award, players must be an NCAA FBS College Football team member and meet the following qualifications:

  • Be a down Lineman, end to end, either on offense or defense, setting up no further than ten (10) yards to the left or right of the ball at the time of the snap.
  • Be a Linebacker on defense, setting up no further than five (5) yards deep from the line of scrimmage.
  • Must not come out of the offensive backfield and set up on the line of scrimmage as a Blocker or a Receiver or listed in the program as an Offensive Back or Receiver.
  • Be eligible to participate in the current season.

Other SEC football players named to the 2025 Rotary Lombardi Award Midseason Watch List include Parker Brailsford (Alabama), Tim Keenan III (Alabama), Deonte Lawson (Alabama), Kaydyn Proctor (Alabama), LT Overton (Alabama), Keldric Faulk (Auburn), Jake Slaughter (Florida), Whit Weeks (LSU), Josiah Trotter (Missouri), Suntarine Perkins (Ole Miss), R. Mason Thomas (Oklahoma), Dylan Stewart (South Carolina), DJ Campbell (Texas), Jack Endries (Texas), Anthony Hill Jr. (Texas), Colin Simmons (Texas), Cashius Howell (Texas A&M), Taurean York (Texas A&M), Trey Zuhn III (Texas A&M), and Eli Stowers (Vanderbilt).

Semifinalists for the 2025 Lombardi Award will be announced Tuesday, Nov. 4, followed by the announcement of the four finalists Tuesday, Nov. 18. The winner of the 2025 Lombardi Award will be revealed live on Wednesday, Dec. 10.

CJ Allen, a junior from Barnesville, Ga., has amassed 46 total tackles (24 solo, 22 assisted) through six games this season. He also has 5.5 tackles for loss (17 yards), three sacks (13 yards), two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.

Christen Miller, a redshirt junior from Ellenwood, Ga., has collected eight total tackles (five solo, three assisted), 1.5 tackles for loss (two yards), and one quarterback hurry.

The ninth-ranked Georgia Bulldogs (5-1, 3-1 SEC) are next scheduled to host the fifth-ranked Ole Miss Rebels on Saturday, Oct. 18 at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga. The game will be televised by ABC at 3:30pm ET (Buy Tickets).
