The Georgia Bulldogs’ men’s basketball has made the NCAA Tournament for the first time since the 2015 season. The Hoop Dawgs will face the longtime NCAA Tournament stalwarts, the Gonzaga Bulldogs.

The Zags are the 8-seed and Georgia is the 9-seed in the Midwest Region. The battle of the Bulldogs will determine who gets a shot at the Houston Cougars, the top-seed in the Midwest Region. That is, of course, barring a major 1 vs. 16 (SIU Edwardsville) upset.

The Georgia-Gonzaga game will take place on Thursday, March 20 in Wichita, Kansas, with the tip-off time and television to be determined.

Mike White’s squad, led by freshman phenom Asa Newell, will take on an experienced Zags squad with a future Hall of Fame coach Mark Few leading them. The Bulldogs finished the regular-season 20-12 overall and 8-10 in conference play before being eliminated from the league tournament by the Oklahoma Sooners last Wednesday.
