Blue Cain, a 6-foot-4, 180-pound shooting guard from Bradenton, Fla. (IMG Academy), has committed to play for Mike White and the Georgia Bulldogs.

Cain previously signed a letter of intent with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, but was released after head coach Josh Pastner was fired.

Head coach Mike White and members of his staff shared their reactions on Twitter following Cain’s decision.

Blue Cain, who hails from Knoxville, Tenn., averaged 14.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game last season at IMG Academy in Bradenton.

In the 247Sports Composite, Cain is rated as a four-star recruit, the No. 11 shooting guard, and the No. 74 overall recruit for 2023. Rivals.com also rates Cain four-stars, the No. 21 shooting guard, and the No. 93 recruit nationally.

Cain will join current UGA signees Silas Demary, Jr., Dylan James, and Mari Jordan, as well as incoming transfers Jalen DeLoach from VCU, R.J. Melendez from Illinois, and Russel Tchewa from USF on Georgia’s 2023-24 roster.
