The troubles off of the field continue for Kirby Smart and Georgia’s football program. They have to deal with yet another arrest.
Sophomore defensive back Juwuan Briscoe was booked on two misdemeanor charges, including driving without a license and not wearing a seatbelt, according to Athens Clarke-County jail logs. Briscoe was booked at 9:07pm and released at 10:11pm on a $500 bond on each charge.
As a freshman, Briscoe saw limited time, only recording five tackles. However, shuffling within the defensive backfield, Briscoe had a legitimate chance to claim a starting role.
There is currently no statement released by the University of Georgia on the situation, and whether a suspension will be given is not known at this time.

Rent-a-cop Barney Fife duche-bag police in Athens once again "targeting" anybody that resembles a football player. I think the mayor in Athens needs to grow a pair and put a stop to this silliness and glory grabbing media a-holes and leave these kids alone.
Paul, I normally would say these kids need to use better judgement but I'm getting to the point where I agree with you. Felony charges for shooting a bb gun???? It's outrageous. Driving without a license is a ticket and no more unless he was driving dangerously. This ish is getting out of control. There are real, dangerous criminals out there. Focus on them.

First it was the UGA Police who made the case so the Mayor would have no role. Neither you or I know the details so it is just speculation, however, it is not uncommon for someone who is unable to provide identification reference to a traffic violation to be required to post a bond. It is technically an arrest but not as significant as the media enjoys playing it for clicks on the story.
kind of gives you a new appreciation of what Richt was up against while at Georgia if his players fart to loud they got arrested while at other schools major crimes get covered up
I do not want to see the cover-ups however small things like traffic violations should not be arrest just be tickets and i do not care if it is a football player or a reg student
Does the president of the university have the ability to step in and deal with the perception that UGA police are targeting athletes.
