The Georgia football Homecoming game for the 2026 season has been set, the school announced Thursday.
Georgia’s 2026 Homecoming game will be played on Saturday, Oct. 3 against the Vanderbilt Commodores at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga. The Georgia-Kentucky game will kickoff between noon ET and 1:00pm ET and will be televised by either ABC or an ESPN network.
Vanderbilt, which finished the 2025 season 10-3 and 6-2 in SEC play, is entering its fifth season under head coach Clark Lea. Georgia is coming off of its second consecutive SEC Championship season and College Football Playoff Quarterfinal appearance. The Bulldogs wrapped up the 2025 season 12-2 overall (7-1 SEC).
The Bulldogs last hosted Vanderbilt for Homecoming on Oct. 15, 2022. Georgia defeated the Commodores 55-0 in that contest.
In all of their Homecoming games, the Georgia Bulldogs hold an 83-18-2 record. Last season, Georgia defeated Kentucky on Oct. 4, 35-14.
Georgia’s 2026 Homecoming game is preceded by a home contest against the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday, Sept. 26 (3:30-8:00pm ET). Following the Homecoming game against Vanderbilt this season, the Bulldogs are scheduled to visit the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday, Oct. 10 (6:00-8:00pm ET).
The Georgia Bulldogs are scheduled to open the 2026 season on Saturday, September 5 against the Tennessee State Tigers at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga. The game will kickoff at 3:00pm ET and will be a streaming-only event on SEC Network+.
