The Georgia Bulldogs will face the Ole Miss Rebels in the quarterfinals of the 2014 SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament. The game tips off tonight around 9:30pm ET and will be televised by SEC TV and ESPN3.
Georgia is the No. 3 seed and earned a double-bye into the quarterfinals. Ole Miss, the No. 6 seed, first played last night in the second round and defeated rival Mississippi State 78-66.
The Bulldogs and Rebels played earlier this season on Feb. 15 in Athens. With 1.5 seconds remaining, Georgia’s Charles Mann made a free-throw to lift the Bulldogs to victory.
Also in that game, controversial guard Marshall Henderson scored 24 points to lead the Rebels. He also had a big game last night, scoring 21 points, all from three-point range.
The Georgia-Ole Miss winner will advance to the semifinals on Saturday to face the winner of Kentucky-LSU.
