Shields (6-3, 190) is fairly new to football, per the report, and played his senior season at Flowery Branch, where he amassed over 1,000 receiving yards for the Falcons.
With the late commitment, Georgia will now welcome five new wide receivers this fall. Shields joins Craig Dandridge, Ryan Mosley, and Dallas Dickerson, each of which signed in December and suited up in Athens for spring practice.
Georgia also added Isiah Canion, who transferred to the Bulldogs after playing for in-state rival Georgia Tech.
The Georgia Bulldogs are scheduled to open the 2026 season on Saturday, September 5 against the Tennessee State Tigers at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga. The game will kickoff at 3:00pm ET and will be a streaming-only event on SEC Network+.
