No. 3 Georgia set to face No. 6 Texas in College World Series
Georgia will open its 2026 College World Series run against the Texas Longhorns Saturday night at 8:00pm, it was announced earlier Monday.
The sixth-seeded Longhorns advanced to the eight-team, double-elimination tournament following a two-game sweep of Oregon that was capped by a 6-5 result in Austin late Sunday night.
ESPN is slated to televise the game from TD Ameritrade Stadium. Saturday’s winner will play the winner of the early Saturday contest between Alabama and the Kansas/Oklahoma winner Monday at 7:00. The loser will face the loser of that contest Monday at 2:00.

Game 2: North Carolina vs. Ole Miss, 7 p.m.
Saturday, June 13:
Game 3: Alabama vs. Kansas/Oklahoma, 3 p.m.

Sunday, June 14:
Game 5: loser of West Virginia/Troy vs. loser of North Carolina/Ole Miss, 2 p.m.
Game 6: winner of West Virginia/Troy vs. winner of North Carolina/Ole Miss, 7 p.m.
Monday, June 15:
Game 7: loser of Alabama/Oklahoma (or Kansas) and Georgia/Texas, 2 p.m.
Game 8: winner of Alabama/Oklahoma (or Kansas) and Georgia/Texas, 7 p.m.
