Joakim Gouda, a four-star linebacker, has committed to Georgia football for the class of 2027.
Gouda, who plays for McEachern High School in Powder Springs, Ga., chose the Bulldogs over Auburn, Florida, Texas, Notre Dame, and several other top schools.
At 6-foot-1.5, 230 pounds, Gouda is a four-star prospect across major recruiting services, ranking as the No. 14 linebacker nationally and the No. 153 overall recruit according to the Rivals Industry Ranking.
“Really what made me accelerate and be 100 percent committed to Georgia is what I’ve seen during the weekend,” Gouda told Rivals.com. “What they have shown me is that they’re elite in everything they do.”
Joakim Gouda is the second commitment for Georgia today following Gideon Taiwo’s pledge to the Bulldogs. Gouda gives the Georgia Bulldogs 12 total commitments for a class that is now ranked No. 18 in the Rivals 2027 Industry Team Rankings.
