At 6-foot-3, 320 pounds, Taiwo is a three-star prospect across major recruiting services, ranking as the No. 89 edge defender nationally and the No. 1055 overall recruit according to the Rivals Industry Ranking.
“Georgia is the one for me,” Taiwo told UGASports.com. “It means a whole lot to me. I actually grew up watching Georgia a lot. They were always one of those schools where I said I’d love to play for them one day. So when the coach called and offered me, it really felt unreal.”
Gideon Taiwo is the 11th commitment for the Georgia Bulldogs for the 2027 class and first edge defender. Georgia’s class is currently ranked No. 22 in the Rivals 2027 Industry Team Rankings.
