Five-star running back Kemon Spell commits to Georgia football for 2027
Kemon Spell, a five-star running back and No. 3 overall recruit, has committed to Georgia football for the class of 2027.
Spell, who plays for McKeesport High in McKeesport, Pa., chose the Bulldogs over Penn State, Miami, Notre Dame, and others. He was previously committed to Penn State, but reopened his recruitment following James Franklin’s dismissal.

The 5-foot-10 and 210 pound Spell is a five-star prospect across major recruiting services, ranking as the No. 1 running back nationally according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, 247, and ESPN. His junior season production — 1,755 yards on 136 carries and 32 touchdowns — showcased his mix of power, balance, and breakaway speed.
In the Rivals Industry Ranking, Kemon Spell is listed as a five-star recruit, the No. 1 running back, and the No. 3 overall recruit for the class of 2027.
Kemon Spell is the sixth commitment for the Georgia Bulldogs for the 2027 class. He joins four-star defensive back Donte Wright, four-star offensive lineman Kelsey Adams, five-star running back Noah Parker, three-star wide receivers Gavin Honore and Aden Starling.
