Georgia has fortified its secondary with the addition of Oklahoma cornerback Gentry Williams, who announced his transfer to the Bulldogs on January 13.
Williams, a former four‑star recruit and All‑Big 12 honorable mention, brings proven talent, versatility, and veteran presence to Athens. At 5‑foot‑11 and 190 pounds, Williams offers the kind of athletic, physical coverage Georgia has long valued in its defensive backs.
In 2023, Williams started 10 games for Oklahoma, recording 30 tackles, three interceptions, and four tackles for loss, earning All‑Big 12 honorable mention recognition. Injuries limited him to just two games in 2024 and six in 2025. Across three seasons, Williams has totaled 40 tackles, four interceptions, and multiple pass breakups.
Williams, a former four-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class out of Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, Okla., was ranked the No. 1 player in Oklahoma, No. 9 cornerback, and No. 78 player overall in the Rivals Industry Rankings.
The Bulldogs are reshaping their secondary after losing Daylen Everette to the NFL Draft and seeing Joenel Aguero transfer out. With Ellis Robinson, Demello Jones, and KJ Bolden returning, Williams deepens a unit that has already welcomed USC cornerback Braylon Conley, Clemson safety Khalil Barnes, and ECU safety Ja’Marley Riddle this offseason.
