Mike Bobo named 2025 Broyles Award finalist
Georgia football offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Mike Bobo has been named a finalist for the 2025 Broyles Award, the Frank & Barbara Broyles Foundation announced Tuesday.
The Broyles Award is an annual award that is presented to the top assistant coach in college football. The Broyles Award selection process includes the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA), broadcasters, a college football hall-of-fame selection committee, and current college head coaches.
Mike Bobo is one of five finalists for the 2025 Broyles Award. Other finalists include Bryant Haines (DC/LB’s, Indiana), Corey Hetherman (DC/LB’s, Miami), Matt Patricia (DC, Ohio State), and Shiel Wood (DC/ILB’s, Texas Tech).
Georgia fans can vote for Mike Bobo to win the award at broylesaward.com/vote. The winner of the 2025 Broyles Award will be announced live on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026 at the 30th Anniversary Broyles Award Event at Oaklawn in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Georgia is next scheduled to play in the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the Allstate Sugar Bowl on New Year’s Day, Thursday, Jan. 1 2026 (Buy Tickets). The Bulldogs will face the winner of the first round game between the No. 11 Tulane Green Wave and No. 6 Ole Miss Rebels.
