Monroe Freeling named SEC Offensive Line Player of the Week again

Georgia football offensive lineman Monroe Freeling has been named the SEC Offensive Line Player of the Week for the second time this season, the SEC announced Monday.

Freeling, who hails from Charleston, S.C., was named the SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week following his performance in the Bulldogs’ 35-10 victory at home against the Texas Longhorns. Freeling graded out at 80 percent, had five knockdown blocks, and allowed no pressures or sacks in the contest.

Monroe Freeling led an offensive line that protected quarterback Gunner Stockton as he went 24-for-29 for 229 yards and four touchdowns plus another score on the ground.

Georgia’s next game is on Saturday, Nov. 22 at home against the Charlotte 49ers at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga. The game will be televised by the SEC Network at 12:45pm ET (Buy Tickets).
