The Georgia Bulldogs (7-1, 5-1 SEC) are ranked fifth in the first College Football Playoff rankings of the 2025 season released Tuesday evening by the College Football Playoff Selection Committee.
The Ohio State Buckeyes (8-0) top the initial CFP rankings, while the Indiana Hoosiers (9-0) come in at second, Texas A&M Aggies (8-0) third, and Alabama Crimson Tide (7-1) fourth in the initial rankings.
Teams in the first College Football Playoff Rankings that Georgia has played include No. 25 Tennessee (Won 44-41 in OT), No. 4 Alabama (Lost 24-21), and No. 6 Ole Miss (Won 43-35). The Bulldogs are scheduled to play No. 11 Texas at home on Nov. 15 and No. 17 Georgia Tech on Nov. 22 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The College Football Playoff Selection Committee will release its Top 25 rankings each week on Tuesday through Dec. 2. Below is the schedule of dates (all times Eastern):
- Tuesday, Nov. 11: 7-8pm
- Tuesday, Nov. 18: 8:30-9pm
- Tuesday, Nov. 25: 7-8pm
- Tuesday, Dec. 2: 7-7:30pm
- Sunday, Dec. 7 (selection day): Noon-3pm
On Sunday, Dec. 7 at Noon ET, the College Football Playoff Selection Committee will announce the 12-team playoff bracket pairings and game sites.
The Georgia Bulldogs are next scheduled to travel to Starkville, Miss., to take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs at Davis Wade Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 8. The game will be televised by ESPN at noon ET (Buy Tickets).
