Preston Carey commits to Georgia football for 2026 class

Preston Carey, a four-star defensive tackle from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., has committed to Georgia football for the class of 2026.
Carey announced his commitment to Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs on Monday evening.

Carey (6-4.5, 300) committed to the Bulldogs over Auburn, and Rutgers. He also held offers from teams such as Alabama, Colorado, FSU, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, Texas, Texas A&M, and more.
In the 247Sports Composite, Preston Carey is rated as a four-star recruit, the No. 36 defensive lineman, and the No. 309 overall recruit in the country for 2026.
Rivals.com also rates Preston Carey as a four-star recruit, the No. 7 defensive tackle, and the No. 158 recruit in the Rivals 250.
With the addition of Preston Carey Georgia now has 26 commitments for the class of 2026. Georgia’s class is currently ranked No. 2 in the country by 247Sports.
