Georgia basketball SEC opponents set for 2025-26 season

The Georgia basketball SEC opponents for the 2025-26 season have officially been set, the league announced Wednesday.
For the second consecutive season season, SEC teams will play the 15 other teams once each during league play. Three teams will also be played a second time, two which are permanent opponents — Florida and South Carolina — and one that will change each year.
The Texas Longhorns will be Georgia’s rotating opponent this season, joining Florida and South Carolina as home-and-home’s.
Other SEC opponents heading to Stegeman Coliseum in 2026 include Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Texas A&M.
In addition to visiting Florida, South Carolina, and Texas, Georgia will travel to face Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Vanderbilt.
SEC action will tip off on Saturday, January 3, 2026 and runs through Saturday, March 7, 2026.
Georgia’s 2025-26 non-conference schedule was officially announced last week. The Bulldogs will open the 2025-26 season at home at Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Ga., on Monday, Nov. 3 against the Bellarmine Knights.
Other opponents slated to visit Stegeman Coliseum this fall include Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) on Nov. 5, Morehead State on Nov. 9, Georgia Tech on Nov. 14, Florida A&M on Nov. 17, Tennessee Tech on Nov. 20, Western Carolina on Dec. 18, West Georgia on Dec. 22, and LIU on Dec. 29.
The Bulldogs will also play in the 2025 Charleston Classic in Charleston, S.C., along with Clemson, West Virginia, and Xavier. Georgia will play two games in that tournament, beginning Friday, Nov. 21 and concluding Sunday, Nov. 23.
Georgia is also set for a 2025 ACC/SEC Challenge matchup on Tuesday, Dec. 2 on the road against the Florida State Seminoles.
