Chaz Chambliss named SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week

Georgia football’s Chaz Chambliss has been named the SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week for Week 10 of the 2024 season, the SEC announced on Monday.

Chaz Chambliss was named SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week following his performance in Georgia’s 34-20 victory over the Florida Gators in Jacksonville, Fla. He recorded six tackles, including four solo stops, 2.5 tackles for loss, and two sack in the win.

Chambliss, a 6-foot-2, 250-pound senior, hails from Carrollton, Ga. So far this season, he has tallied 23 total tackles and three sacks for a total loss of 17 yards.

Chaz Chambliss shares this week’s award with TJ Dottery from Ole Miss, who had six total tackles and a sack fumble in the end zone in their victory over the Arkansas Razorbacks.

The Georgia Bulldogs are next scheduled to travel to Oxford, Miss., to take on the Ole Miss Rebels at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 9. The game will be televised by ABC and streamed via ESPN+ at 3:30pm ET (Buy Tickets).
