Time, TV set for Georgia-Texas football game on October 19

The UGA football game on the road against the Texas Longhorns on Saturday, October 19 will be televised by ABC at 7:30pm ET, the SEC has announced. All games on ABC are also simulcast via ESPN+.

Texas officially joined the SEC this season after competing in the Big 12 Conference since 1996. Georgia last played Texas in the Allstate Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1, 2019, with the Longhorns coming out on top, 28-21.

Georgia and Texas have met on the gridiron a total of five times, and the Longhorns hold a four-game advantage in the series, 4-1. Georgia’s only visit to Darrell K Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin, Texas, was during the 1958 season.

The game against Texas will mark Georgia’s fifth appearance on ABC this season. Georgia’s previous appearances on ABC include Clemson (in Atlanta), at Kentucky, at Alabama, and home vs. Auburn. The Bulldogs have also appeared on SECN+/ESPN+ (Tennessee Tech) once during the 2024 campaign.

Fifth-ranked Georgia is scheduled to host the Mississippi State Bulldogs this weekend and the SEC Network will televise the contest at 4:15pm ET (Buy Tickets).

Three additional kickoff times and television for UGA games later in the season have already been announced, including the Georgia-Florida game in Jacksonville, Fla., on Saturday, Nov. 2. That contest is set for 3:30pm ET on ABC.

Georgia’s home game against UMass on Nov. 23 is set for 12:45pm ET on the SEC Network, while its home game against in-state rival Georgia Tech on Black Friday (Nov. 29) is set for 7:30pm ET on ABC.

Contests at Ole Miss on Nov. 9 and at home vs. Tennessee on Nov. 16 have each been designated as Flex games by the SEC. Those contests will kickoff between 3:30pm and 4:30pm ET or between 6:00pm and 8:00pm ET. Exact details for those games will be announced 6-12 days prior to the date of the game.
