Georgia Bulldogs ranked first in 2024 preseason AP Poll

The Georgia Bulldogs are ranked first in the preseason AP Poll for the second consecutive season. UGA, which finished 13-1 overall and 8-0 in the SEC in 2023, received 46 first-place votes and a total of 1,532 points.

Georgia also sits atop the 2024 preseason Coaches Poll for the second straight time, which was released one week ago.

Five of Georgia’s opponents in 2024 are ranked in the preseason AP Poll. The Texas Longhorns are ranked fourth, Alabama Crimson Tide fifth, Ole Miss Rebels sixth, Clemson Tigers 14th, and Tennessee Volunteers 15th.

Rounding out the top five of the preseason AP Poll is Ohio State in second and Oregon in third.

The SEC leads all conferences with nine teams in the AP Top 25 Poll. The Big Ten is second with six teams, followed by the Big 12 with five. Listed below is the full conference breakdown:

Georgia is set to open the 2024 season against the Clemson Tigers in the Aflac Kickoff Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga., on Saturday, Aug. 31. The game will be televised live by ABC at noon ET (Buy Tickets).
