Georgia-NC State Super Regional begins Saturday at noon
The Georgia Bulldogs, the No. 7 national seed, will host the NC State Wolfpack in a Super Regional beginning on Saturday, June 8, 2024, the school has announced.
Game one of the Georgia-NC State Super Regional, which is a best-of-three series, is scheduled for noon ET at Foley Field in Athens, Ga. The game will be televised live by ESPNU.
The second game of the series is slated for Sunday, June 9 at Foley Field and it will also be televised live by ESPNU at noon ET. If a third game is necessary, it will be played on Monday, June 10 in Athens at at time to be announced.
Georgia last hosted a Super Regional in 2008 when it won a three-game series over NC State, 2-1, and advanced to the College World Series in Omaha, Neb.
Under first year head coach Wes Johnson, the Diamond Dawgs finished the 2024 regular-season 39-14 overall and 17-13 in SEC action. After being eliminated in the first game of the SEC Tournament, the Bulldogs regrouped and swept their NCAA Regional at Foley Field, defeating Army, UNC Wilmington, and Georgia Tech.
