UGA football schedule 2024: Kickoff time, TV set for six games

The kickoff time and television coverage has been set for x games on the 2024 UGA football schedule following a release from the SEC on Thursday.

Earlier on Thursday, it was reported that Georgia’s home game against Georgia Tech has been moved up one day and will be played on Black Friday (Friday, Nov. 29). That game is now official and it will be televised in primetime on ABC at 7:30pm ET.

Other kickoff times announced on Thursday include Georgia’s home-opener against the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles on Saturday, Sept. 7. That game is set for 2:00pm ET and will be a streaming-only event on SEC Network+ and ESPN+.

Four other UGA football games were previously announced. Georgia will open the 2024 season against the Clemson Tigers in the Aflac Kickoff Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga., on Saturday, Aug. 31. The game will be televised live by ABC at noon ET.

Georgia’s SEC-opener two weeks later on Saturday, Sept. 14 on the road against the Kentucky Wildcats at Kroger Field in Lexington, Ky., has been set for a 7:30pm ET kickoff with national television coverage on ABC.

On Saturday, Sept. 28, Georgia will travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to battle the Alabama Crimson Tide. The Bulldogs’ first game against the Kalen DeBoer led-Crimson Tide is set for a 7:30pm ET kickoff on ABC.

The annual Georgia-Florida game in Jacksonville, Fla., will kickoff at its usual time of 3:30pm ET with coverage via ABC. The Bulldogs are the designated home team in Jacksonville this season.

The 2024 SEC Championship Game is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 7 and will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga. The game is set for a xpm ET kickoff on ABC.

Per the SEC, more game times will be unveiled in early June, which could include some games involving the Bulldogs. Georgia’s remaining kickoff times this season will be announced 6-12 days prior to the date of the games.
