UGA basketball SEC opponents set for 2024-25 season

The UGA basketball SEC opponents for the 2024-25 season have officially been set, the league announced on Monday.

For the 2024-25 season, SEC teams will play the 15 other teams once each during league play (Oklahoma and Texas join the conference this year). Three teams will also be played a second time, two which are permanent opponents — Florida and South Carolina — and one that will change each year.

Auburn will be Georgia’s rotating opponent this season.

Other SEC opponents heading to Stegeman Coliseum in 2024 include Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma,
and Vanderbilt.

In addition to visiting Auburn, Florida, and South Carolina, Georgia will travel to face Alabama, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas, and Texas A&M.

SEC action will tip off on Saturday, January 4, 2025 and runs through Saturday, March 8, 2025.

Georgia’s 2024-25 non-conference schedule has not yet been announced yet, but a few opponents are known. The Bulldogs are scheduled to face the Marquette Golden Eagles at The Atlantis Paradise Island Bahamas on Saturday, November 23 next season, which was announced in January.

Although not official yet, it has been reported that Georgia will play a second game in the Bahamas on Sunday, Nov. 24 against St. John’s.

The only other non-conference games currently known for the Bulldogs next season is South Carolina State at home on Dec. 29 and their annual contest against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The two in-state rivals will meet at McCamish Pavilion in Atlanta, Ga., on a date to be determined.

The 2024-25 season will be the third under head coach Mike White. The Bulldogs finished the 2023-24 season 20-17 overall (6-12 SEC) and advanced to the semifinals of the NIT.
