The Georgia Bulldogs have taken over the top spot in the latest College Football Playoff Rankings of the 2023 season released Tuesday evening by the CFP selection committee.

Georgia moved up from second, bumping the Ohio State Buckeyes down to second after they occupied the top spot for the first two weeks. Rounding out the top five are Michigan, Florida State, and Washington. Oregon, Texas, and Alabama are again ranked sixth, seventh, and eighth, respectively.

The undefeated Bulldogs have recorded two victories over teams that are currently ranked by the College Football Playoff — 52-17 over the 13th-ranked Ole Miss Rebels and 30-21 over the ninth-ranked Missouri Tigers. Georgia is scheduled to visit No. 18 Tennessee on Nov. 18 and will face No. 8 Alabama in the SEC Championship Game on Dec. 2.

The Bulldogs are currently ranked number one in the AP Poll and US LBM Coaches Poll.
