The Georgia Bulldogs are set to host the UT Martin Skyhawks next week on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023 at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga.

Bulldog fans looking to watch the Georgia-UT Martin football game will not find it on traditional television, unfortunately. The game will be a streaming-only event on SEC Network+ and ESPN+ and it will kickoff at 6:00pm ET.

Why is the game streaming only? As part of the SEC-ESPN contract, ESPN possesses the right to air at least one non-conference game per school on ESPN+. The kickoff time and streaming news for this contest was officially announced by the SEC when they revealed their early-season schedule on May 31.

How can you watch the Georgia-UT Martin game? Below are the methods to watch the game on SEC Network+ and ESPN+.

SEC Network+

If you have a cable (Charter, Spectrum, etc.), satellite (DISH or DirecTV), or streaming subscription (YouTube TV, Hulu, etc.) and the SEC Network is part of your plan, then you also have access to SEC Network+ at no extra charge.

In order to view the game on SEC Network+, you will need to go to the Watch ESPN website or the ESPN app on your TV or other device. After selecting the Georgia-UT Martin game, you will be asked to login using your qualifying plan credentials mentioned above (if you are not already logged in).

The ESPN app is available on the following devices: Android mobile devices, Cox Contour, Apple mobile devices, Apple TV, Amazon Fire tablets and TV, Android TV, Roku, Xbox, Samsung smart TV’s, Xfinity, PlayStation, and Google Chromecast (supported device list).

Note that the SEC Network+ is a streaming only option and is not one of the SEC Network Alternate channels that may still be found in your cable/satellite channel guide. Those sub-channels were not utilized the last two seasons and it seems that streaming will be the only option going forward.

ESPN+

ESPN+ is a separate, premium subscription service that is not included in any cable or satellite package. If you are able to view the game via SEC Network+, you DO NOT need to subscribe to ESPN+ also. If you do not have access to SEC Network+, then ESPN+ is your only option to watch the Georgia-UT Martin game.

ESPN+ is currently $9.99 per month and it is also available in the Disney Bundle for $12.99 per month (ad-supported) or $24.99 per month (no ads), which also includes access to Hulu and Disney+. If you already have a subscription to the Disney Bundle, then you have access to ESPN+.

  • Why is it so difficult to see the national champions play their first game??? DTV is not showing “SEC” channel anymore. Is it the BSSeHD channel 649-1? That shows TBA for 9/2. And I’m not seeing it on any ESPN channels. WTH is going on? Not enough money?

  • Shame that the National Champions game is not televised. No way paying extra for a non conference game. Get other games on Roku or ESPN. Shameless money grab.

    • It's part of the new SEC contract with ESPN. They have the right to stream one game for all 14 teams each season.

  • Sad National Champions and can't even see the first game of the season. Pay a fortune for channels and don't use 90percent of them.Ripoff

  • Good I have absolutely zero interest in this game. Really don’t have much interest in their weak schedule

  • I am done with all the cable companies !!! They have done nothing but jack my prices no matter which I choose to use , I will miss watching college badly but I tired of the cable companies even more who are not regulated and allowed to do these price gouges , and the service seems to suck no matter which I use , guess I will listen on radio or just do without .

  • I have no desire to watch the football game but would have watched in the hopes of seeing my freshman grandson as a Marching Redcoat...I'm so excited for the bright & talented young man

  • This is bunch of bull. We pay for many channels including ESPN and ESPN2and now the networks want to charge more to watch a football game.

  • What in the hell are y'all not playing bulldogs play like normal people why do we have to fool with Disney world s***
