The Georgia Bulldogs are set to open the 2023 season against the UT Martin Skyhawks on Saturday, Sept. 2 at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga.
Georgia fans wanting to watch the Georgia-UT Martin football game this Saturday will not find it on traditional television, unfortunately. The game will be a streaming-only event on SEC Network+ and ESPN+ and it will kickoff at 6:00pm ET.
Why is the game streaming only? As part of the new SEC-ESPN contract, one non-conference game per school per season will stream exclusively on SECN+/ESPN+. The kickoff time and streaming news for this contest was officially announced by the SEC when they revealed their early-season schedule on May 31.
How can you watch the Georgia-UT Martin game? Below are the methods to watch the game on SEC Network+ and ESPN+.
SEC Network+
If you have a cable (Charter, Spectrum, etc.), satellite (DISH or DirecTV), or streaming subscription (YouTube TV, Hulu, etc.) and the SEC Network is part of your plan, then you also have access to SEC Network+ at no extra charge.
In order to view the game on SEC Network+, you will need to go to the Watch ESPN website or the ESPN app on your TV or other device. After selecting the Georgia-UT Martin game, you will be asked to login using your qualifying plan credentials mentioned above (if you are not already logged in).
The ESPN app is available on the following devices: Android mobile devices, Cox Contour, Apple mobile devices, Apple TV, Amazon Fire tablets and TV, Android TV, Roku, Xbox, Samsung smart TV’s, Xfinity, PlayStation, and Google Chromecast (supported device list).
Note that the SEC Network+ is a streaming only option and is not one of the SEC Network Alternate channels that may still be found in your cable/satellite channel guide. Those sub-channels were not utilized the last two seasons and it seems that streaming will be the only option going forward.

ESPN+
ESPN+ is a separate, premium subscription service that is not included in any cable or satellite package. If you are able to view the game via SEC Network+, you DO NOT need to subscribe to ESPN+ also. If you do not have access to SEC Network+, then ESPN+ is your only option to watch the Georgia-UT Martin game.
ESPN+ is currently $9.99 per month and it is also available in the Disney Bundle for $12.99 per month (ad-supported) or $24.99 per month (no ads), which also includes access to Hulu and Disney+. If you already have a subscription to the Disney Bundle, then you have access to ESPN+.

The first television replay of the Georgia-UT Martin football game is currently set for Tuesday, Sept. 5 at 11:00am ET on the SEC Network.

Spectrum customers, like me and everyone I know in Florida, are on Spectrum cable. Because of a Disney dispute on price, ESPN Channels and SEC are no longer available the the national cable company, Spectrum. Can you right an article or post on how to help HUGH Dawg fans to watch Georgia this season? Thank would be helpful. This is a BIG deal and has affected millions of Spectrum's customers. Thank you for your help
If Spectrum and Disney don’t come to an agreement, there’s nothing you can do except move to another service.
Install the espn app on your smart tv, I think it’s 9.99 a month
I have DirecTV with both the ESPN and SEC sports package paid monthly. ESPN says I still have to buy a ESPN+ subscription to see the first game. Something is lost in translation here?
The is pathetic the National Champions and have to stream. Thanks for caring for folks that do not do that. Like the fact you leave your older faithful fans behind. Good Job.
Thanks for posting this info. I thought I wouldn't be able to see the game
Well if the cable companies want me to start streaming everything, then I will cancel my services… this is complete BS…
