Georgia’s 2022-23 SEC basketball tip times, TV announced

The Georgia Bulldogs’ 2022-23 SEC basketball tip times and TV networks have been set, the conference has officially announced.

Georgia will begin SEC play on Wednesday, January 4, at home at Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Ga., against the Auburn Tigers. The game will be televised by the SEC Network at 6:30pm ET.

Other conference home games for Georgia include Mississippi State (Jan. 11; 6:30pm, SECN), Vanderbilt (Jan. 21; 1pm, SECN), South Carolina (Jan. 28; 6pm, SECN), Ole Miss (Feb. 7; 7pm, SECN), Kentucky (Feb. 11; 12pm, ESPN or ESPN2), LSU (Feb. 14; 8:30pm, SECN), Missouri (Feb. 25; 1pm, SECN), and Florida (Feb. 28; 7pm, SECN).

Road SEC games for the Bulldogs include Florida (Jan. 7; 1pm, SECN), Ole Miss (Jan. 14; 1pm, SECN), Kentucky (Jan. 17; 9pm, ESPN), Tennessee (Jan. 25; 7pm, SECN), Auburn (Feb. 1; 7pm, SECN), Texas A&M (Feb. 4; 8:30pm, SECN), Alabama (Feb. 18; 6pm, SECN), Arkansas (Feb. 21; 9pm, SECN), and South Carolina (March 4; 1pm, SECN).

The Georgia Bulldogs are scheduled to open the 2022-23 season on Tuesday, November 7 against the Western Carolina Catamounts at Stegeman Coliseum.

Other non-conference opponents scheduled to visit Stegeman Coliseum this season include Miami OH (Nov. 14), Bucknell (Nov. 18), ETSU (Nov. 27), Hampton (Nov. 30), Florida A&M (Dec. 2), Chattanooga (Dec. 21), and Rider (Dec. 28).

The Bulldogs will travel to face the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Friday, Nov. 11 and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Tuesday, Dec. 6.

Tip times and television for those non-conference games will be announced at a later date.

Georgia is also scheduled to compete in the 2022 Sunshine Slam at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Fla. Georgia will face St. Joseph’s in the first round on Monday, Nov. 21 (8:30pm, CBSSN), followed by either South Florida or UAB in the championship or consolation game on Tuesday, Nov. 22 (4pm or 6:30pm).

The Bulldogs are also scheduled to take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in a Holiday Hoopsgiving 2022 game. The contest will be played at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Ga., on Sunday, Dec. 18. Time and television for this contest are to be announced.
