Georgia ranked 5th in 2021 preseason Coaches Poll

The Georgia Bulldogs are ranked 5th in the 2021 preseason Coaches Poll Top 25. UGA, which finished 8-2 overall and 7-2 in the SEC in 2020, received a total of 1,386 points.

Only one of Georgia’s opponents in 2021 is ranked in the preseason poll. The Florida Gators are just outside the top ten at No. 11.

The Alabama Crimson Tide top the preseason Top 25 rankings with 63 of the 65 first-place votes and 1,621 points overall. SEC teams ranked in the Top 25 include Alabama (1st), Georgia, (5th), Texas A&M (6th), Florida (11th), LSU (13th), and Ole Miss (25th).

The SEC leads all conferences with six teams in the preseason Coaches Top 25 poll. The Big 10 is just behind with five teams, and they are followed by the Big 12 with four and the ACC and Pac-12 with three each.
