The Georgia Bulldogs have added the UT Martin Skyhawks to their 2023 football schedule, according to a report by FBSchedules.com.

Georgia will host UT Martin at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga., on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023. The game will mark the first-ever meeting between the two schools on the gridiron.

UT Martin is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The Skyhawks finished the 2019 season 7-5 overall and 6-2 in conference play.

With the addition of UT Martin, Georgia has completed their schedule for the 2023 season. In other non-conference action, the Bulldogs are scheduled to play at the Oklahoma Sooners on Sept. 9, host the UAB Blazers on Sept. 23, and visit the in-state rival Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Nov. 25.

In SEC play in 2023, Georgia is currently slated to host Kentucky, Missouri, South Carolina, and Ole Miss and travel to Auburn, Florida (in Jacksonville, Fla.), Tennessee, and Vanderbilt.

UT Martin is the fifth FCS opponent on Georgia’s future football schedules. The Bulldogs are also scheduled to host Charleston Southern in 2021, Samford in 2022, Tennessee Tech in 2024, and Austin Peay in 2025.

Georgia is scheduled to open their SEC-only 2020 football schedule on Saturday, Sept. 26 on the road against the Arkansas Razorbacks.
