4-star running back Daijun Edwards commits to UGA for 2020

Daijun Edwards, a four-star running back from Moultrie, Ga., has committed to the Georgia Bulldogs for the class of 2020.

Edwards announced his commitment to Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs via his Twitter account on Thursday afternoon.

Daijun Edwards (5-10, 201) played for Colquitt County High School. He committed to the Georgia Bulldogs over several top schools, including Arkansas, Auburn, Colorado, Florida State, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi State, Penn State, and Tennessee.

In the 247Sports Composite, Daijun Edwards is rated as a four-star recruit, the No. 21 running back, and the No. 279 overall recruit for the 2020 class.

Edwards is also rated as a four-star recruit by Rivals.com. They list him as the No. 9 running back and the No. 135 overall recruit in the country for 2020.

Georgia now has two running backs for the 2020 class. Edwards joins four-star running back Kendall Milton, who signed with the Bulldogs in December.

With the addition of Daijun Edwards, the Bulldogs’ 2020 recruiting class is now ranked number one in the country by 247Sports. Edwards can officially sign with the Bulldogs on the regular signing day, which is set for Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020.
