Georgia earns first College Football Playoff bid

The Georgia Bulldogs have earned their first College Football Playoff bid. UGA was named the No. 3 team in the playoff rankings released today by the selection committee.

Georgia will face the No. 2 Oklahoma Sooners in the Rose Bowl Game. The game is set for Monday, Jan. 1 at 5:00pm ET on ESPN.

In the other semifinal game, the No. 1 Clemson Tigers will face the No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide in the Allstate Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. The game is set for 8:45pm ET on ESPN.

The full college football bowl schedule will be finalized later on Sunday.
