Georgia suffered an ugly blow on Saturday, losing 45-14, and it showed in the latest ranking polls.
The Bulldogs have fallen nine spots in the latest coaches’ poll after the loss to the Rebels. Being ranked as the eleventh team nationally a week ago, Georgia now sits at No. 20 after the first loss during Kirby Smart’s tenure.
Tennessee jumps to Georgia’s previous standing at No. 11 as another top 25 matchup is slated for Saturday, Oct. 1 at Sanford Stadium.
Seven teams still remain ranked from the SEC, with Alabama remaining ranked as the nation’s top team. Texas A&M (No. 10), Mississippi (No. 17), and Florida and Arkansas round out the poll at 21st and 22nd after their defeats, in addition to previously mentioned Georgia and Tennessee.
Georgia rounds out the AP Top 25 rankings, taking the final spot in the poll comprised by numerous media members around football. Georgia was ranked at No. 12 a week ago, now suffering a drop of thirteen spots.
Tennessee also stands at No. 11 in this poll, just as the Volunteers did in the coaches’ ranking.

LSU fell out of both polls after losing to Auburn, their second of the season.

If the coaching remains at the level it was at the Ole Miss game, UGA could lose 5 or more games this season. That's the worst coaching job I've seen in years!
Wow, this was one of the most lack luster games I've seen UGA play in a while. The O Line has got to learn how to block otherwise the Dawgs are going to looking at a 7 and 5 season if not worse. Looking at the schedule an 8-4 season may be a stretch at this point. Oh how I wish UGA could get out of the 'also ran' category. In a state that has as much talent as Georgia has, in a region of the country that has as much talent as the southeast has, at a school that has the resources UGA has, why is UGA a perpetual 8-4 or 9-3 team?
