Ludacris to perform prior to G-Day Spring game

Just a few short days ago, Georgia athletic director Greg McGarity said they had exhausted all efforts to find a musical talent to perform in the 15-minute window prior to G-Day.
Not so fast, my friends.
After the statement was made a few short days ago, it seemed as if the target was a country artist, as the Zac Brown Band, Thomas Rhett, and Corey Smith were pursued. However, the Bulldogs seemed to change directions to make a last minute push to fill the time slot, as Atlanta native and acclaimed rapper Ludacris will take the stage.
In many aspects, this is a save by Georgia, as the concert announcement was a major part of the program, and seemed to make 93,000 fans filling the stadium to be a reality. Two days after announcing the disappointing news, they find their match in a desperation search.
The UGA athletic department announced the addition of Ludacris to the pre-game festivities this afternoon via Twitter.
