Aaron Murray will wear No. 7 jersey in Kansas City
On Saturday, UGA quarterback Aaron Murray was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft (163rd overall).
Aaron Murray wore the No. 11 jersey at Plant High School in Tampa and all four seasons with the Georgia Bulldogs in Athens.
But Murray won’t get to wear No. 11 in Kansas City. That number is currently in use by Alex Smith, the starting quarterback. Smith played his first season with the Chiefs in 2013 after being with San Francisco from 2005 through 2012.
Aaron Murray will wear No. 7, as indicated in the photos below.
