Georgia to Face Davidson in 2013 Charleston Classic First Round
The 2013 Charleston Classic bracket has been released and the Georgia Bulldogs will face the Davidson Wildcats in the first round on Thursday, Nov. 21. ESPNU will televise the game at 5 p.m. ET.
The tournament will be played at TD Arena in Charleston, South Carolina Nov. 21-24. Eight teams are includes and it will feature a bracket format with 12 games over three days. The two undefeated teams will meet in the championship game.
The complete field includes Georgia, Clemson, Davidson, Nebraska, New Mexico, Temple, UAB, and UMass.
The match-up will the 5th between Georgia and Davidson on the hardwood, a series which the Wildcats lead 3-1. The Bulldogs picked up their only win 100-12 way back in 1909.
Davidson recorded their first win over Georgia in 1969, winning 74-72 in Charlotte. The Wildcats would beat the Dawgs 77-75 in Athens in 1970 and then again later in the season 63-55 in the Charlotte Invitational.
Georgia-Davidson and Clemson-Temple are bracketed together. The winners and losers of the two first-round games will meet on Friday night.
