EA SPORTS NCAA Football 13 will be released on July 10. This years edition features a Heisman Challenge mode, where you can place one of 16 former Heisman Trophy winners on any team.
Georgia’s Herschel Walker is one of those players along with the aforementioned Tim Tebow, who EA Sports chose to feature in their promo spot. Georgia fans everywhere are puking in their mouths.
Tebow’s character doesn’t actually ship with the game unless you order it from Gamestop, and you also get Mark Ingram and Matt Leinart.
Along with Walker, the other Heisman winners included with the game are Marcus Allen, Doug Flutie, Eddie George, Robert Griffin III, Desmond Howard, Carson Palmer, Barry Sanders, Charlie Ward, and Andre Ware.
Other winners available through the demo download are Tim Brown, Archie Griffin, and Jim Plunkett.
Now before anyone says we are advocating buying a game and adding Tebow to Georgia’s roster, remember it’s just a game. And I don’t think EA SPORTS necessarily has it out for UGA with this ad. They merely used one of the most controversial and popular figures in sports today to create hype for their product.

I'm glad they had this commercial made! They recognize how large UGA UF rivalry is and display it in this.
Let's not forget, the year Tebow won Heisman,UGA beat Florida.
Is the error that Nessler said Athens is on fire when they were playing in Jacksonville?
Yep, that's it. The stadium is correct with the logo and all.
I don't know if that's an error or not. It wouldn't make much sense to say that "Jacksonville is on fire" since half the stadium would be bummed out. It may be odd to reference Athens there, but it would make sense that he's saying that whatever students are still there "are on fire". Although it is pretty deserted that weekend for fall break.
True. It's possible that the audio isn't even part of the game. Could have just been for that commercial. Maybe someone who bought the game can tell us.
Or could the error be that Herschel scores with a Gator jersey on to end the commercial?
No, that was to show that Herschel could be placed on Florida's team.
At the end Tebow throws the ball to #26, when he turns to score, he becomes Florida #34!
No, that was just a clip showing Herschel Walker as a Gator. The error was that Nessler said "Athens, Georgia is on fire" when the Georgia-Florida game is played in Jacksonville.
They've also got the wrong facemask on Herschel. They must not have the old style that Herschel, and 50% of Georgia's players back then, wore.
