2013 LB Tim Kimbrough commits to the Dawgs

Georgia picked up their second verbal commitment on Dawg Night, this one from Warren Central (Indianapolis, IN) linebacker Tim Kimbrough.

“Yes sir, I committed to Georgia tonight,” Kimbrough told UGASports.com. “Georgia is a special place and I had a great visit there earlier. It is just a great fit for me.”

Rivals.com rates Kimbrough as a 4-star recruit, the no. 6 inside linebacker and no. 137 in the Rivals250 2013. Scout.com also rates him as a 4-star recruit and the no. 6 middle linebacker.

Kimbrough (6-1, 226, 4.57) committed to the Dawgs over offers from Arkansas, Clemson, Florida, Michigan State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, UCLA, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin, and others.

On Friday, Georgia also picked up a commitment from defensive back Quincy Mauger. The Dawgs now have 21 commitments for the 2013 class.

  • Congratulations on your decision thanks for joining the dawgs.looking forward to seeing you play

  • Its real refreshing when an elite player does not play games. We should all be glad that he chose Georgia. We have some great linebackers coming in. Grantham keeps doing a great job of recruiting and putting Georgia in a place where defensive atheletes want to play.
