Johnson’s commitment gives the Dawgs 19 overall for the 2013 class. Georgia had been up to 20 commitments until both Derrick Henry and Kryin Priester decommitted earlier this week.
Georgia was the second school to offer Rico Johnson after Marshall. But the Dawgs have always been his dream school and he wowed them with a 4.28 in the 40-yard dash.
“It was a great day,” Johnson told UGASports.com. “Coach Richt came over and asked me, “How would you like to be a Bulldog?’ I smiled big and started crying a little bit, and said that I would be happy to be a Bulldog and became one right there.”
Johnson joins Uriah LeMay, Tramel Terry and Reggie Davis as wide receiver commitments. However, Johnson could also line up at cornerback for the Dawgs.

Its blessing to see this young man commit to staying in Georgia and playing for his childhood dream school. Many blessings to you and the other young men who also committed. Keep God first always.
