Scout.com rates Gurley as a 4-star recruit and the no. 13 running back in the nation. Rivals.com rates him 3-stars, the no. 29 athlete in the country and no. 10 overall in North Carolina.
Gurley (6-1, 210) committed to the Dawgs over offers from most of the top schools, including Auburn, Clemson, Georgia Tech, NC State, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia Tech.
The commitment of Gurley gives the Bulldogs their second running back for the 2012 class. Last month, no. 1 ranked running back Keith Marshall committed to Georgia over Alabama and others.
Marshall is UGA’s 17th verbal commitment for the 2012 recruiting class. National Signing Day is Wednesday, February 1.

Ga. is smart to gather in more running backs. Really disappointed in Crowells performance & his lack of ability to stay out of Richts dawghouse!
Crowell just a kid give him time to grow up being a freshman tailback in the s e c isn't as easy as it looks resh. M
My reference to Crowell was his tuffness & the four discipline measures that cost from starting every game.
the more backs we sign the better look at lsu they were deep in backs.crowell is gonna be good this will take some pressure off him
Well all that I can say is. I.think crowell stayed banged up bc he's runs the ball so hard that he will.take a pounding . Especially as a FRESHMAN IN THE BEST CONFRENCE IN THE COUNTRY SO GIVE HIM DON PROPS !!!!!!!
Crowell has good running ability, but he needs to get tougher & learn to block better. Tailbacks that do that, play on Sunday!
