  • We are equipped to beat LSU!! we have a primetime qb in Murray,a balanced ground game....and a stellar defense...it won't be pretty ...UGA 21 LSU 20

    • You have lost your mind my friend. Your defense is playing well but no where near the only defense that could hold us in check, Alabama. As for A. Murray, well just look at what we did to Tyler Wilson. The only offenses to do anything were Oregon and W. Virginia and in reality W. Virginia just put up some yards due to the bend don't break mentality. If LaMichael James and Trent Richardson can't shine against our D. I'm afraid theres little chance for your boys. I complement the optimistic attitude though. I would like to see a competetive game so good luck. I pitty the bowl team who pulls Georgia or any other SEC school for that matter. I sometimes think we appear down as a conference at times because of the parody within the conference. Good luck to coach Richt to. He is a class guy and I would hate to see him go anytime soon.

    • All I can say is remember 2005. We got a shot and our offense is better than Bama's, tiggertwo. Hey this is why we play the game and it is going to be a damn good one.

    • I shall not yell at you to go away tiggertwo because you are being respectful and classy. I can't tell you how many times a Florida or Tech fan barged on here and started badmouthing us. Good luck to you guys

  • tiggertwo8 is a good sport, i think l.s.u. is the best team in the country and i hope a SEC team wins each year. i try not to bad mouth sec teams it only hurts our conference. if my dawgs do get lucky and catch l.s.u. sleeping we could win. God bless our S.E.C. teams and let's all try and not talk trash in our southern family!!!

  • ESPN said Georgia didn't deserve to go to the NC in 2008 because we didn't win the SEC. Yet, they wanted a OSU-Michigan rematch in 06 or 07, and they want Alabama in this years. UM and Bama didnt win their conference. If we beat LSU, we will and neither team will. I say UGA deserves a shot at a NC if we beat LSU.

ESPN and the BCS is corrupt!!!!!!!!!!
    We need a playoff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is more corrupt than the GHSA. 4 private schools in the Class A semifinals, the GHSA clearly favors North Ga and private schools over our small south GA schools.... (sorry i digress, i had to compare)

Our boys dont have a chance because of the GHSA and neither does my Dawgs because ESPN hates us!!!!!!!! Systems need to be fixed!!!!

  • This is a winnable game but we will have to have execution like we saw against Auburn sans turnovers. The game will come down to two things: turnovers and defensive play. LSU is a running team who wants to pound a defense into submission. Big John and Kwame will have to hold their own in the middle and give our ILB's a clear path to make plays. If we can stifle the LSU ground attack and make them take to the air, we stand a good chance of winning. Likewise, we will have to establish the run on offense. No disrespect to Harton or Thomas but Malcome and Crowell are going to have to man up and pound the ball. 175 pound RB's are not going to fare well against the LSU front regardless of blocking. If Samuel can make it back that would be a nice insurance policy. Murray will have to be accurate with his passes and manage the game of his life. LSU has a good secondary so underneath passes might be the best option; however, if we establish the run and LSU brings their Safeties up, we could try for a deep one here and there. As a Dawg fan I hope we play well but I feel we're another year away from busting this open. Our defense is set for next year if no one goes pro with the exception of Boykin. A couple of good defensive redshirts (Sterling Bailey camoes to mind) will help shore up defensive depth. Ray Drew will become a beast once he's got a full year on the conditioning program. Offensively, we lose 3 good linemen but we have some excellent underclassment coming up, some that got in some playing time this year. John Theus I expect him to come in and play significantly or start. Yes, he's that good. David Andrews, Zach DeBell and Watts Dantzler will provide great depth too. I think we ought to look at the JUCO ranks for a couple of OL just for experience. The addition of Quayvon Hicks at FB will help that position. If we pull a coup and get Keith Marshall and Todd Gurley in the backfield; well, it will makes us very deep and talented at RB. Murray? Well there's a reaon he'll have virtually all of UGA's QB records when he leaves! I look for Hutson Mason to transfer; he's just too good to ride the pine any longer and I won't blame him if he bolts. Christian LeMay will finally get in some gametime experience against cannon fodder like Buffalo, Florida Atlantic and Georgia Southern next year. At WR King, Mitchell, Bennett, Conley, Brown and Scott-Wesley will keep our opponent's secondary sweating. If Orson Charles comes back at TE well that will be icing on the cake. If Orson doesn't return well we still have Jay Rome and Arthur Lynch to shore that position up. Lynch has valuable games experience too. As much as I'd like to see us upset LSU, I still see us at least 1 year away from being dominent like Bama and LSU. Next years schedule will help too. Bama is on the schedule; however, rumor is Missouri will replace Bama on our schedule due to being new in the East. That leaves only Carolina, Auburn, Florida and possibly Tech as the only heavywieghts we will play. Florida will still be rebuilding IMHO and Auburn just don't play like they did with Newton. Carolina IMHO will be the test and Tech, who knows? If we can sign about 5 key recruits, avoid off season injuries and arrests, then 2012 will see Georgia win the East, the Conference and possibly wind up in the NC. The pieces are there, the schedule is favorable again and we have a bunch of players with chips on their shoulders wanting to prove themselves. Sic 'em Dawgs!

  • I dont think people are giving UGA the credit they deserve. They lost to two very good teams.A)Boise State, we all know they are a good team, and lets face it: This was their bowl game. From day one in BS's training camp, they were preparing for UGA and only UGA. Thats probably why TCU beat them. Whereas UGA had to prepare for all facets of the game and prepare heavily for the game following the Boise State game, which was SC.B) South Carolina is UGAs biggest rival in my opinion. Though not in the same state, the schools are somewhat close geographically, meaning no matter where the game is played, you will have a boatload of fans from either side. And Visorman spurrier has always had UGA's number ever since his days at Florida. So don't rest on the dogs cause they will bite you. Top 5 defense, plus (IMO) the best QB in the SEC. I think UGA wins, 34-31 in OT.
