The Georgia Bulldogs will play the USC Trojans at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California on December 17, 2011, the LA Times has reported.

This will be only the second meeting ever between the Bulldogs and the Trojans. Their first meeting came at the Quaker City Tournament in Philadelphia in 1972. The Bulldogs won that game 77-74.

USC is the fifth non-conference opponent on the schedule for the Hoop Dawgs in 2011-12. Georgia will host Georgia Tech (Dec. 6) and Mercer and will travel to face Colorado and Xavier.

The Bulldogs are also participating in the 2011 Progressive CBE Classic, which features two games in Athens and two games in Kansas City, Missouri. In addition, Georgia will play in the 2011 SEC/Big East Challenge at home against Cincinnati on December 2.

The Trojans finished the 2010-11 season with a 19-15 record. They were eliminated by VCU 59-46 in a First Four matchup in the 2011 NCAA Tournament. USC has made the tournament six times in the past eleven seasons.
